Tui ... A few hours later

This  beer is still aweful, even tho I have had quote a lot now. I have issues with the fact that it labels itself as an East IPA. It's not... It's rubbish

Heritage Cider

Beer rating
Country: New Zealand
Continent: Australasia
Brewed by: Monteiths
Style: Cider
Percentage: 5%
Aroma: 3/10
Appearance: 5/10
Taste: 3/10

Purchased at: countdown Pakuranga
Additional comments: tastes like bitterness on a stick, full bodied coffee aftertaste. It would possibly make a good silver or brass cleaner but not something I would drink again. Bottle looks groovy.

Tui

This beer Is bland and pointless unless you want to get blithering and beat someone up. It is the only beer you can buy at the cricket however
2/10 based solely on the fact that the best beer is the nearest beer.... And this is it at the moment.

> Appearance: 4/10
> Taste: 6.5/10 woody
> Palate: 4/10

> Purchased at: New World
> Why purchased: lagered out from the day before, so felt like something with a bit of body
> Additional comments:
> A beer that promised so much. Low alcohol for its class. Wonderful smokey malty aroma, as only a Porter can. But poured with a thin fluffy head and was a bit too light on the palate. Picked up again with taste. Fruity malt with medium bitterness. Relative low price would allow for the occasional single bottle to accompany a steak pie and mash. In conclusion though, still a way to go to meet "Ennis Ave Special Porter"

Bavarian Pilsner

Beer rating
 Name: Bavarian Pilsner
Country: NZ
Brewed by: Wigram Brewing Co.
Style: Pilsner
Percentage: 5.0% ABV
 Aroma:6 /10
Appearance: 6/10 clear and golden
Taste: 7/10
Palate: 8/10
Purchased at: Wines Direct Penrose
Additional comments: This is a clear and clean example of a good pils. The flavour of light malt washes over your tongue before giving you a bitter kick as it slides down. It has a lot more character than commercial pilsners on the market, but retains all the traits you want when it's hot outside.
Sit me in the sun and give me a few of these please.

Little Creatures Bright Ale

Brewed by: Little Creatures
Style: Light Ale
Percentage: 4.5%
Aroma: 5/10
Appearance: 7/10
Taste: 7/10
Purchased at: Wine Direct in Penrose
Additional comments: This is a really crisp and light ale that is more like a pilsner than an ale. Clear, clean and refreshing. Lots on a hot day please!

Bloody Dingo

Beer rating
Name: Bloody Dingo
Country: NZ
Continent: Australasia
Brewed by: Parrotdog
Style: Imperial Red IPA
Percentage: 7.7%
Aroma: 9/10
Appearance:7/10 a pleasing reddish brown
Taste: 8/10
Purchased at: Gifted to me
Additional comments:
WOW, this beer is great. It smells delicious and fully hoppy. It hits the front of the tongue with maltiness and then by the time it washes over the back of the tongue on its way down it hits you with a big bitterness. With an ABV of 7.7% I was definitely feeling the love after a couple of these beauties.

A beer with a tantalising name. Great fruity aroma. Good palate for a pilsner. Slight cheeky bitterness in German style. Enjoyed the first tickle on a hot afternoon, suiting its name. Would recommend a brief encounter, as it showed reasonable features across the board.

Aroma: 5/10
Appearance: 5/10
Taste: 5/10

Yeah Right!

Budweiser

Like Heineken but worse!
This is good when you are really hot and thirsty and it is icy cold.
Quite sweet and bland. No discernible hops and not particularly malty. You find yourself asking why did I bother.

Good Island IPA

Goose Island Brewery
5.6%
Aroma 7/10 mild pear and lime
Mouthfeel 7/10
Taste 7/10

A refreshing IPA. This has all the right characters but not in big doses making it a really refreshng beer. The pear and like are very subtle  in the aroma and the taste is a start of pleasant bitterness with the flavour. The hops then comes in through gently. A good session beer.

Shock Top

Aroma 7
Taste 5
Mouthfeel 6
Earl of sandwich downtown Disney
Pretty average wheat beer. Trying to be more than it is. Buy another one? Nah!

Chelada

Bud Lite  & Clamato (vegetable juice)
Aroma 1/10
Mouthfeel 1/10
Taste 1/10
This is not anything that people should drink. It looks smells and tastes horrible. It is exactly what you would imagine from putting tomato juice with beer. It is dreadfully horribly wrong. I thought it must be surprisingly refreshing, but no. It is grotesque and possibly the only way to make Bud Lite taste even less of a beer.
God help my taste buds. This will haunt me for a long time to come.

Harvest Pumpkin Ale

Samuel Adams new range. I assume that this is a Halloween seasonal beer as it does indeed have pumpkin in it. It tastes a little of pumpkin and a fair bit f spice too.... Clove and nutmeg???
Quite refreshng....I would even buy it again.

By the end of this though my tastebuds were blown out.

Golden Glory

Beer rating
Name: Golden Eagle
Country: England
Continent: Europe
Brewed by: Badger Brewery
Style: Golden Ale
Percentage: 4.5%
Aroma: 4/10 Smells like rotting peaches
Appearance: 7/10
Taste: 5/10
Palate: 5/10
Purchased at: Big Fresh, Half Moon Bay
Additional comments:
I tried really hard to like this beer. I drank it whilst eating a bit of chocolate and it seemed to compliment the sweetness, but when the choc was gone it just tasted weird. If you like the idea of beer that tastes like peaches, then this is for you. There is no subtle peachiness to it at all. It is pretty full on.
I love peaches, but not in beer!

Additional comments:  a translucent light amber colour with quickly fading white head. Aroma is very faint, yeasty, slightly grassy. Mouthfeel is light, really carbonated but rock all bubbles. Taste is light, and very watered down tasting. Overall, yeah, nah.

Clouded Yellow

Appearance: 7/10
Taste: 8/10 Distinctive clove but not overpowering
Palate: 7/10
Purchased at: Fresh Choice, Half Moon Bay
Additional comments:
Yummo! Everything good about a wheat beer. The cloves bite at first but then leave a lovely warming flavour in the mouth. The banana offsets the bite and is subtle enough for you to enjoy it every mouthful.
Give me another one please!

Additional comments:
A really interesting beer. My first impression was a really earthy fresh beer but I couldn't quite pick the flavour. After reading the label though it mentions elder flower and that is the perfect description.
I would certainly drink more of this. It is refreshingly different from the regular IPA's and Lagers.
